My watercolor paintings

Iris - My irises in the garden were so bountiful this year that I had to capture them down in a painting. I try to capture all the details of the flower including the veins, the subtle change of violet, yellow and red colors.

Race to the finish line
- I try to capture the speed of the bikers in this picture when everyone is gunning to the finish line.

Snow fall in Cape Breton
- This painting shows the sunset in Cape Breton national park based on a picture I took when visiting Nova Scotia some years ago. You can see the sun setting just behind the trees, illuminating the whole sky.

Main River, Wuzburg - I visited Germany last year and took a picture when the sun just broke through the cloud in the afternoon and the water reflected the colorful buildings along the river.

Sunset reflection - a view of the Fraser river during the evening when the water mirrors the colorful sky.

Fall color on the Fraser River - this painting shows the vibrant color of the trees along the banks of the river in the autumn.

Hydrangeas in full bloom - hydrangea is one of my favorite flowers and I try to capture their soft pastel colors and delicate texture in this painting.

European town by the sea - This painting was inspired by pictures from a travel magazine. It makes me want to hop on the plane to explore this lovely old town.
